Terms of Service
Last Updated: 2026
These Terms of Service govern all interactions between clients and Shine Up Cleaning. Please read this document before booking any service.

Acceptance of Terms

Using our services means you agree to these terms.
By scheduling, booking, or receiving a cleaning service from Shine Up Cleaning, you accept this service agreement  –  a document that defines the terms under which a cleaning service is provided, and outlines what both the client and the company are responsible for.
This agreement applies to all services offered by Shine Up Cleaning, including online bookings, phone reservations, and repeat-schedule arrangements. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not book a service.
These terms may be updated periodically. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

Description of Services

Shine Up Cleaning provides professional residential and commercial cleaning in Chicago, IL.
We operate within a 6-10 mile radius of ZIP code 60661, covering the North Side and Near West Side corridors. Services include move-out cleaning, house cleaning, Airbnb and Vrbo cleaning, post-construction cleaning, eco cleaning, deep cleaning, office cleaning, warehouse cleaning, and window cleaning.
We are available seven days a week from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Same-day service is available, subject to crew availability.
Scope of service  –  a clear statement of what is and is not included in a cleaning visit  –  is defined at the time of booking. We do not remove debris or junk, perform crime scene cleaning, or service extremely dirty units. Clients should confirm the scope before scheduling.

Acceptable Use

Clients must use our services lawfully and in good faith.
You agree not to misrepresent the condition of a property when booking. Providing accurate information about the space  –  size, current condition, and access  –  is your responsibility. This helps us assign the right crew and time block.
The following are not permitted: booking a service for a property you do not own or have authorization to access, requesting services outside our defined scope without prior written agreement, or using our services for any unlawful purpose.
Shine Up Cleaning reserves the right to decline or end a service if site conditions differ materially from what was described at booking.

Intellectual Property

All content on shineupcleaning.com is the property of Shine Up Cleaning.
This includes written content, images, branding, logos, and service descriptions. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any content from our website without written permission.
Nothing in this agreement transfers ownership of any intellectual property to the client.

Limitation of Liability

Shine Up Cleaning’s liability is limited to the cost of the cleaning service provided.
A liability limitation is a legal statement that defines the extent of the company’s responsibility if something goes wrong during a service visit. In no event will Shine Up Cleaning be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
We take care with every visit. However, pre-existing damage, fragile or improperly secured items, and conditions not disclosed at the time of booking fall outside our liability. Our maximum liability for any claim arising from a service visit will not exceed the total amount paid for that specific service.
We carry standard business liability coverage for our operations in Chicago.

Indemnification

Clients agree to hold Shine Up Cleaning harmless from claims arising from their own actions.
You agree to indemnify and defend Shine Up Cleaning against any claims, damages, or expenses  –  including reasonable legal fees  –  that result from your misuse of our services, misrepresentation of property conditions, or violation of these terms.
This clause does not limit your right to raise a legitimate service concern directly with us.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.
Any legal matter arising from this agreement will be handled under Illinois law. Venue for any legal proceeding will be Cook County, Illinois  –  the county in which Shine Up Cleaning primarily operates.

Dispute Resolution

We prefer to resolve concerns directly before any formal process begins.
If you have a complaint about a service, contact us first at 312-500-2928 during business hours. Most concerns are resolved quickly with a re-clean or direct conversation.
If an informal resolution is not reached, both parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing litigation. Mediation will take place in Cook County, Illinois, under a mutually agreed mediator. If mediation fails, disputes will be resolved in the Cook County, Illinois, courts.
