Shine Up Cleaning Publishes
What It Does and Doesn't Do - Read It Here
From routine apartment maintenance to heavy-duty warehouse resets, Shine Up Cleaning delivers uncompromising quality.
We handle residential, commercial, and specialty detailing all booked through one simple call.
What Shine Up Cleans - and What Falls Outside Our Scope
Cleaning service scope is the defined set of tasks and conditions a cleaning company agrees to address. Ours is specific, and we publish it openly.
Shine Up Cleaning handles move-out cleans, house cleaning, Airbnb and VRBO turnovers, post-construction cleaning, eco-friendly cleaning, deep cleaning, office cleaning, warehouse cleaning, and window cleaning. That is the full list.
What we do not handle: extremely dirty units, junk and debris removal, crime scene cleaning, and jobs outside our Chicago service area. A scope exclusion – a condition or task outside what we perform – is not an arbitrary limit. Each one exists because those jobs require different equipment, licensing, or specialty training than standard residential and commercial cleaning.
If your job fits within those categories, booking is straightforward. If it does not, this page tells you that before any phone call gets made.
Jobs That Fall Outside Our Scope -
Explained with Specifics
An extremely dirty unit is a specific condition, not a judgment call.
Here is what we mean by each exclusion:
Extremely Dirty Units
A residential or commercial space where accumulated grime, clutter, or contamination exceeds the threshold for standard professional cleaning. Think units with severe hoarding conditions, years of unaddressed buildup, or active pest presence. These require remediation or specialty services before a standard clean is appropriate. We do not perform that remediation.
When a client books a standard move-out clean and the unit ends up needing a specialty contractor first, it wastes their time and ours. Publishing this limit prevents that.
Junk and Debris Removal
Hauling discarded items, construction materials, or accumulated clutter out of a unit is a separate service category. It requires different equipment, a vehicle rated for hauling, and specific disposal logistics. We clean surfaces. We do not remove what is on them.
Crime Scene Cleaning
Biohazard cleanup and trauma scene remediation require specialized certification, protective equipment, and disposal protocols. This is not part of our service range.
If your job involves any of these four conditions, a different provider is the right call. This page helps you know that before you pick up the phone.
Read This Once, Know Exactly What to Expect Every Time
Client expectation alignment — the shared understanding of what will and will not happen — is why this page exists.
When you book with Shine Up, you already know what the crew is arriving to do. No day-of renegotiation. No scope creep. No surprise that the price changes because the unit turned out to be in different condition than expected.
What does that look like from your side? You call, you confirm your address is in our service area, you describe the job, and we tell you whether it fits. If it fits, we book it. If it does not, we tell you directly — and you have not wasted a morning waiting for a crew that cannot complete your job.
That structure is not complicated. It is just honest.
How We Communicate Scope Before Every Booking
Scope is confirmed before a crew is dispatched. Every time.
Here is how it works in practice:
Address verification first. We confirm that your location falls within our service area boundary before proceeding to any other step. ZIP codes outside the 6–10 mile radius of 60661 are flagged immediately.
We are available seven days a week, 9 AM to 6 PM, including same-day bookings when slots are open.
Conditions That Affect Whether We Can Accept a Job
Unit Condition
Standard and deep cleaning address units that are dirty in common ways — dusty, grimy, kitchen buildup, bathroom scale buildup, scuffed floors. Units that have moved past that threshold need a different starting point.
Presence of Debris or Junk
If the unit contains items that must be hauled out before surfaces are accessible, the job falls outside our scope until the removal is complete. We clean surfaces. We do not clear the path for them.
Service Type
We offer nine distinct cleaning services. If what a client needs falls outside those nine — crime scene remediation, biohazard cleanup, exterior power washing — we cannot take it on.
Geographic Location
The South Side is outside our service area. Suburban addresses are outside our service area. A specific Chicago address near the boundary of our coverage area can be verified by calling us directly.
A service area boundary this specific is useful to you. It means the crews we dispatch know your neighborhood, know your building type, and can reach you within a predictable window.

Confirm Your Job Qualifies, Then Book in Minutes
Check your address, describe your unit, and we will tell you exactly where you stand.
Call Shine Up Cleaning seven days a week between 9 AM and 6 PM. Same-day slots are available when open.

No guessing. No surprises. That is the point of this page.
